Set up the Circle ID app

The Circle ID app runs on your iPhone or Android phone. It's the device you'll use to approve passkey registrations and sign-ins.

Install the app

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Search for Circle ID.
  3. Tap Get to install.
  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone.
  2. Search for Circle ID.
  3. Tap Install.

Add your email

  1. Open the Circle ID app.
  2. Tap Get Started or Add Email (depending on whether this is your first time).
  3. Enter your email address.
  4. The app sends a one-time verification code to that email. Check your inbox (and your spam folder if you don't see it).
  5. Enter the code in the app.
  6. Your email is now linked to your Circle ID account.

Tip

You can add more than one email. When a website asks which account to use, you'll pick from the emails registered in the app.

What's next

Once the app is set up and you've installed the Circle ID Extension, you're ready to add Circle ID as a passkey on any website that supports passkeys.
