Sign in with your Circle ID passkey

After you've added Circle ID as a passkey on a website, you can use it to sign in.

How to sign in

1. Go to the website's sign-in page.
2. Choose to sign in with a passkey. Some sites show this option automatically; others have a "Sign in with a passkey" or "Use a security key" link.
3. A QR code appears on your screen.
4. Open the Circle ID app on your phone and scan the QR code.
5. The app shows the website name and your account. Tap Approve (or use biometrics if prompted).
6. You're signed in.

Troubleshooting sign-in

Problem	What to do
No QR code appears	Make sure the Circle ID Extension is ON. Click the extension icon to check.
QR code timed out	Refresh the page and try again.
"No passkeys found" or similar error	You may not have registered Circle ID on this site yet. Add it as a passkey first.
The app doesn't recognize the QR code	Make sure you're scanning with the Circle ID app, not your phone's camera.
Phone is offline	The Circle ID app needs an internet connection. Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again.
